How much should be charged fora lid switch repair on a maytag top load washer?
Question:maytag model mav7700aww, serial#21493201zy. Washer fills but will not wash.

I recently had the switch to my Maytag dryer replaced. The part was about 20. and the labor was 20. This is a small town.
As far as your washer lid, mine had the same problem, but it was NOT the switch. The lid had been bent just enough not to "trip" the load into the wash cycle. Try popping your lid outward so the latch?? makes contact with the "thingy."

well...online I found the part for 289.so if they have to come to your house and do the repair, you're probably looking at about 500.
