Eliminating cigarette smoke?

Question:I recently moved into an apartment where people had smoked it seems just in the living room. What are some way to get rid of the smell of smoke?

Answers:
Wash all the walls and painted surfaces down with a gentle solution of sugar soap - could add a bit of scented disinfectant too. Wash curtains, carpets etc etc. Its a horrid smell to get rid of!

Stir 2 tablespoon of baking soda in a glass 3/4 full (make four such galsses) and place each glass in the four corners of the room. Change the soultions in the glasses every 2 days. Your room should be rid of the smell in 1-2 weeks time.
