Does vinegar disinfect?
Question:I use vinegar to mop my tile floors and love it. However, we had a puupy here for 2 weeks that was not housebroken and I want to make sure that the floor is not only clean but disinfected. I can use Lysol on the floors, but not very much because it will leave them sticky. SO, if I use the vinegar, will they be disinfected?
Answers:
I've seen a number of sources online which all concur in saying that straight 5% vinegar, the stuff available in a grocery store, is a disinfectant due to acetic-acid.
No vinegar is not a disinfected what I would do use some bleach diluted with water and just go over your tile floor to disinfect. Also their is a product called ODA BAN that I use all the time it will disinfect and it is a natural product that some hospitals use. I clean houses and offices and use it all the time. I dilute it with water when mopping tile floor.

Yes, vinegar disinfect, sure !!
Have a nice day,

Vinegar does not disinfect, it can neutralize some odours though.
If you really want to disinfect your floors, poor boiling hot water stright from the kettle on the floor with a bit of dish soap and clean up with a clean mop. We clean dishes this way and eat off them after all. ;-)
If you clean the mop, boiling hot water and soap till it completely rinses out afte each use this is a great way of cleaning your floors.
Edit:
I stand corrected, Wikipedia says it is a disinfectant due to the acetic acid. Veternarians combine hydroperoxide and use as a disinfectant
Yes it does disinfect. What do you think they used in the 1800's?
Vinegar is a natural disinfectant, yes.
Yeah it is but it's gonna smell so baddddddddddd you would need to use something ELSE to make it not smell
