make your own with water and a few drops of essential oil.
Nag Champa incense, and open the windows so you can share it with the world!
If you want a strong air freshener try ambi pur otherwise try airwick
Glade's 'Clean Laundry' or 'Baby's bath' they are both lovely! I have a light and scent in my living room with clean laundry in it and I love it
i gave up using air freshners years ago...they either affected our aquarium or the dogs...so i bought a few goodspheres and placed them over the house ..the cost of the essences work out cheaper in the long run
Yankee candles are lovely. You don't have to burn them either as they have a strong scent and come in lots of different fragrances.
My favorite thing to do in summer is stick a bounce dryer sheet to my box fans. Whether it's in a window or just circulating air in the house, If you place one on the backside of your fan (the suction will keep it in place when on) it will distribute a fresh clean smell throughout the house! ;)
On BBC News 24 this morning an 'expert' said that artificial things such as air fresheners upset our natural immune systems.Particles in the chemicals given out by these monsters attach themselves to the resistant cells in our lungs and weaken them.Same goes for carpet fresheners, car smellies etc!!
oust!! that stuff is great on any kind of smell. it sanitizes the air and gets rid of the smell. i use it mostly for around my cat's liter box and for a lot of other stuff as well.
you can put cinnamon sticks in boiling water then let them simmer on very low and it will make cigarette smoke dissapate, and make your place smell like cinnamon. it is a great way to make it smell nice and cheap.
any freshner that isnt coconut or vanilla is ok
Since there are concerns about releasing chemicals into your home, I'd recommend using natural oils - I use a few drops of lavender oil on a dish of little stones, which smells wonderful. The oil is quite expensive but it lasts for ages. Opening the window is good too!
