What is a good vacuum cleaner?
Question:I'm looking for a vacuum that would do especially well on Oriental Rugs any suggestions... Thank You
Answers:
I have an Oreck-cleans my oriental carpets and hardwood floors beautifully on a weekly or daily basis.I have another vacuum with attachments for those monthly(or several months in my case) chores like wall/ceiling cobwebs, hard to reach corners, under stuff.
Kirby
Filter Queen.
a dyson 07 they are brilliant.
a good vacuum cleaner will stay a good one depending on how you maintain the appliances.. depending the size of your rugs and if mostly the rest is hardwood or ceramic I would look for something light and easy to clean. Most major companies offer a model that will suit your needs and wallet.
As an ex-motel cleaner, I've always liked Hoover products.
I agree KIRBY. They are expensive but worth it.
go on to ebay and see for your self
Rainbow is a very good vacuum. It is a little more expensive than some, but it does an excellent job.
I have had a dyson 04 for 6 years now! its great!
Dyson is the best!
I have had a Kirby and I can tell you they are not good on fine rugs! They are powerful. I will give them that. They tend, however to pull the loops out of the rug. Also they are very expensive.
I am my mom have always bought Electrolux vacuums. They too are very expensive but they pretty much last a lifetime and have various settings for rugs, hard floors and wall to wall. My mom had one for 40 years! She used it as a train in! It's probably still working. I have recently bought the best model that they make in the canister type. It's The Guardian. It has a Hepa filter also. It can remove 99.9% of all allergens. Be careful when shopping for Electrolux. They are really called Aerus Electrolux now. There is another company
also called Electrolux . I believe they are a Swedish Manufacturer. The
The Aerus canisters range in price anywhere from $800.00 to &1800.00. The 1800. one has a 25 year warranty on its motor! I feel it is worth the investment. It cleans rugs and carpeting extremely well. It is easy to handle and has a storage compartment for the smaller brushes etc.
Here is their web page. Check it out for information and where you might buy one (click on "find a consultant" on the bottom of the page).
