what kind? elmers glue is a water based system and will come straight out with the wash.

gorilla glue, super glue, solvent based 1parts, 2 part epoxies and urethanes, etc are all a PITA to get out. been in the adhesvies industry for many years, and 90% of my shirts have permanent glue spots on them.

You can try the solvents offered on some the net sites. they are effectively pet ethers or blends with pet ether and NMP. you can try to soak with a paint remover. you may have a 50/50 chance with this.
