How do I get stains/scuffs off of my door/walls?
Question:I'm moving out of my apartment next month and while I've been here I've managed to put a lot of scuffs on my bedroom door from carrying my backpack with me and having it scrape across the door as I walk in. I'd like to clean off as much of this as I can. The door is painted but it's a really crappy paint job. I can't repaint since it's an apartment.
What's a good way to get this off that won't stain the door or anything?

Mr Clean Magic Eraser has removed a lot of stubborn stains for me. If that doesn't work, make a paste using baking soda and a little water and apply that directly to your wall and scrub with a Scotch Brite Pad (Delicate Duty would do it). Your baking soda paste can be used to clean your sink, bath/shower floor, counter tops, stove - anything you want. Once you've cleaned everything, wipe with Windex (especially your faucets and stove top), this will make everything GLEAM!
Fantasic spray (the orange one) is also excellent for general cleaning.

There's a product called Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser. It will take the scuffs right off before your eyes!
Mr.Clean Eraser does nothing for me. I was very disappointed in the product. However, if you do use it, I would wet it and add some comet to it. When I did that, EVERYTHING came off.
I have used a powdered cleaner on black marks. Like Comet ,Dutch Cleanser ,dampen a rag and put the cleaner on the rag. with elbow grease it should come off.
Scuff marks, Prepare a solution of 5 parts methylated spirit. 2 parts raw linseed oil and 1 part pure turpentine. Make up a soft cloth pad and use a figure of eight motion to work the mixture over the damaged area. If there are deeper scratches, use neat methylated spirit to soften the existing polish so that it can be blended together over the scratches
before u spend any $$ u might try a little toothpaste or shaving cream. no kidding. it depends on the paint surface but u can try a little bit in a small area 1st.
