Does anyone know how to get rid of hair color stains (black) from the carpet?
Question:I accidentally dropped some black hair dye. Now there are black stains on my beige carpet. I don't know what to do. If anyone can think of a way to lift the stain, please help.

An unfortunate accident with hair dye can make cleaning carpet a nightmare. In many cases, it may even mean the end of your carpet. Hopefully it won't come to this. There are a few things you can try to remove carpet stains of this nature. First of all, it should go without saying that if hair dye is spilled on the carpet one should act immediately. Dampen a sponge and apply dishwashing liquid. Blot the stain with the sponge until you've lifted as much of the dye as possible. You can also try doing the same thing with vinegar. If this doesn't work and the stain hasn't set into the carpet too deep, you might be able to snip the very top fibers of the carpet without anyone knowing. If none of this works, you'll have to call in a professional who makes cleaning carpet stains his business or rearrange your furniutre to hide the stain.Good Luck! =)
There's a product called spot shot. If it can pull month old ink stains out of white carpet, it can do anything
there is no way to do it, sorry. try some color safe bleach (on a hidden spot, to see if the carpet is effected). i have towels that are still dyed red from hair color. that's the whole idea of the hair color, to color, not remove. sorry.
try RESOLVE. comes in a can and you spray on. it's takes many stains different stains out for me without any effort. give it a try. good luck. let's us know if it works.
