I got a Stain on my New White Colour Handbag!!?
Question:the material of the handbag is neither PVC or plastic. i took it out for the first time and carried it beside a black shopping bag and after awhile the colour seems to get transferred from the shopping bag to my handbag and now there are patches of balck all over my handbag! sigh.. do anyone know how to clean off the black stains? and if you recommand some form of cleaning detergent, where in Singapore can i get it?
Answers:
tide to go... it works, trust me.
Are these black stains set in? Try using a lint remover, it worked wonders for me when my red hoodie rubbed onto my white bag. I think it was the fabric that rubbed off on it but maybe it will work for you because the bag particles rubbed off.
You should try that before soaking because then it might really be a stain.
my first try would be rubbing alcohol. Like you get at the drug store to clean wounds. I think you'll be very surprised. Good Luck.
Try Hand Sanitizer, it will remove ink stains, and it doesn't smell
um..who would make a purse out of pvc anyways?
Well first , try the following steps :
Saturate the stain with hair spray.
Allow the stain to fully dry.
Mix a solution of one part water to one part white vinegar.
Pour the solution on the stain.
Brush the area lightly with a medium-bristle brush, preferably a toothbrush.
Continue brushing until the stain is gone.
Blot the area with a dry, white cloth.
Flood the area with water.
Blot again.
Allow to dry.
the above are the safest way to do it , if it didn't work ,then bleach it
PS : bleach it at your own risk
Nail polish remover, Windex or Rubbing alcohol. Any of those three should take the stains out w/ out harming the bag!!
I would try Goo Gone, but not sure where you can get it in Singapore. Read the bottle first to make sure you can use it on that particular material. After you use it, wipe the bag with some soapy water and then wipe dry. Good luck!
