What is better vacuum?
Question:what is the better vacuum the Rainbow or the Kirby?
Answers:
I have a Rainbow, and I love it.. I wouldn't trade it for the world..
The best vacuum is the one you use. The one you use
is the one that is light weight and easy to maneuver.
Hope that helps! ( I own an Oreck, a Eureka and an Electrolux. I've had the rainbow and Kirby demonstrations though.)
I think those dysons are the best but I guess thats just my opinion... I also think the rainbows are overrated and over priced... Kirbys are good too tho
niether one, buy electrolux. But whatever you get a canister is better then a upright.
i'm so with the dysons. they are about 1500 dollars cheaper and easier to use... plus the rainbow is so tiny you will spend all day trying to vacuum one room...
We have a Tri Star. Expensive as hell, works great!
The Kirby vacuum has a powerful motor, and pulls dirt from deep in the carpet, upholstered furniture, etc. The Rainbow uses water to trap dust and debris. I don't know what the current price is for either, but I think the Rainbow may be the more expensive of the two.
I find a canister vacuum to be more useful than the upright type. The canister vacuum's extended hose and various nozzels allow you to clean everything from the ceiling to the floor, getting the dust on the ceiling fan blades, and on the curtains and upholstery as well as the floor.
However, you don't have to pay +/-$1500 for a good vacuum. Consumer Reports lists Sears Kenmore Progressive with Direct Drive 35922 as a best buy upright model, and Sears Kenmore Progressive 25512 as a best buy canister.
The report COnsumer Reports put out said that the best vacuum were from Sears. The Dyson did poorly in comparison. You can check it out online, see their choice. www.consumerreports.com The canisters do a bit better than upright, but they are a pain, esp. if you have stairs!
Personally, I think neither one of those. They are too expensive. For the money, even though it's about 5-600$'s, SEBO is the world's best vacuum. Honest. I bought one last year. I used to own a Kirby-after this-Sebo is the one to buy, as far as I am concerned. I am a very happy customer of this vacuum. I don't work for them. I am extremely pleased with the product. Please talk with SEBO at a place where they are sold, or you can call 1-800-555-1212 to get a toll free number for them, or any business that has a toll free number to call. Take care.
I have a 30 year old Kirby and it still works great. When I'm vacuuming the carpet, this one gets closest to the baseboard so I don't have to use a special tool and make another pass to get everything clean. I also have a 15 year old Kirby that my mother hated because she was a small person and this is a pretty hefty machine. It was too hard for her to control and too heavy. So you need to try some out and see which you're the most comfortable with. This might seem funny, but my favorite is a little old Eureka (not an upright) that will suck up anything. It is almost indestructible. If you have allergies, any vacuum will work better than not vacuuming at all. I run HEPA filters in the rooms so don't need a special vacuum for that reason. I also prefer machines that have disposable bags, because they are much easier to clean.
Another suggestion would be to go to the library and look at the issue of Consumer Reports that rates vacuum cleaners. They have several criteria, so you can see which is the most reliable, etc.
I clean houses and offices for over 20 years the Kirby would be a good sweeper, however the best one on the market now is the Simplicity they are durable. The attachments are on the sweeper it is easy to carry and it has a good filtering system. The only place that sells the Simplicity is janitorial supply stores. locally there is a business that sells sweepers.
I have used every sweeper on the market. My grandmother had a Kirby it was a good sweeper and it lasted a long time. The only thing is it is hard to push and they are heavy maybe they make the Kirby lighter now.
I haven't used either of those, but I do love my dyson.
I have a Kirby and though it is heavy, it's the best one I have ever used.
