Anybody know any secrets to get a refreshing smell back into something?

Question:Let's just say I had a horrible Friday night. Someone threw up in my car, which caused a chain reaction with another person, so I has 2 pukers in one night, in my car. After 2 hours at the car wash (god bless that guy), my car still smells. A whole bottle of Febreeze didn't work. Air fresheners only cover the smell, but I want to eliminate it. People have suggested Lysol. Also, someone said to sprinkle corn starch all over the seats, let it sit, and then vaccum it up. Anybody know anything that will work for sure??

Had two little ones get car sick on a long car ride (after Taco Bell/Yuck)...totally sympathize with you!

I got the big thing of Oxy Clean at Lowes and then followed up with the baking soda...might have to do it a couple times but it should come out...agree with leaving in the sum with windows cracked too...its going to take a while...be patient! Also tuck a few Bounce dryer sheets under the seats as the sun heats that up it will help with the other smell until it fades.

This is a serious problem. In 1964 someone threw up into the vents on my dash board. Well I had to trade the car.

Hopefully you have sunshine. Park it in the sun all doors wide open for as long as possible. Having it cleaned was good but dampness makes things smell more. So let it bake in the sun.

Good Luck.
Get a bottle of "Natures Wonder". White bottle with red writing. You can find it at a pet store. Spray or pour it on the nasty area. You can scrub if stained or just let it air dry with your windows OPEN. If its real bad you may need to do this 2 times, but it works!
Automobile Carpet Freshener
To freshen the carpet in your car, and deodorize, sprinkle the carpet with either commercial carpet deodorizer or baking soda. Let set for 30 minutes, then vacuum. This should leave your car smelling clean and fresh. Good Luck! =)
Try spraying with vinegar and water. You can also sprinkle baking soda, allow to sit overnight, then vacuum.
EWWWWWW!!! Poor you! Baking Soda really works great. Sprinkle it where the incidents happened, let it sit, and try to leave your windows open, then vacuum it up. Hope it works for you, Be careful though, if the area is still wet, the baking soda will stick, and not vacuum up.
Take some vinegar and pour it on the largest part of the stain. Then get a rag and take excess off.It will smell like vinegar only until it dries. Then just spray it in the car for a really fresh smell.I would put a fan inside the car till it dries and that smell is gone.Give it a try.
Baking soda, sprinkle some all over the interior but also set opened boxes in there for a day and night and that usually draws out odors. also lemon juice is a natural deodorizer.
Baking soda has become my best friend if it can take urine smell out of a mattress I'm sure it can handel puke. Take it from a mother of 4.
