How do you clean a lycra/spandex blend?
Question:I recently purchased a leotard, and I need to know how to clean it. Also, its a little too dark for what I'm making out of it, is there any way to lighten the color?

love my lycra/spandex blend too much to pop in machine. I wash by hand as with most delicates using warm water perhaps a bit hot depends how dirty and use mild soap I use shampoo it smells nice too. Rinse well then roll in towel and sit on it before hanging out to dry almost dry then as for colour don't know could try hanging in the sun with lemon juice this is really mild but better still see if you can contact the manufacturer and ask their advice
If you have your own washing machine and it has a gentle cycle, you can wash it in cold water, but hang it to dry. I don't think there is any way to lighten it that would be very even. I know you can darken items using dye, but I think you're stuck with this one.
