How do I clean the fabric on my sofa?

Question:My sofa just has everyday grime on it, but it's cream coloured so it's noticable. Can I just use soap and water and scrub? Or is their a better method? It's a fabric covered sofa.

Answers:
I use car upholstery cleaner on my couch. Scrub it on and when it dries just vacuum it off. I would test on an area not seen first!

Follow the directions on the label and use what is recommended by the manufacturer. You may have to get it cleaned by a professional.
there are special cleaners for sofa's u should go and check them out
Try a paste of baking soda and water (3 parts baking soda to 1 part water) It not only will brighten it, but also freshen it and make it smell good.

Also try a fabric cleaner from Oreck.com or the store if you have one nearby. My husband used their products for his cleaning business and they were wonderful (a little pricey but worth it in the end.) They have specialized products for EVERYTHING (sofas, carpets, pets, red food color..).
i use my little green machine it comes out spotless
before i had my little green machine i just used to scrub it with folex
