Khaki pants?
Question:everytime i buy khaki pants and wash and dry them they shrink, not in the waist but in the leg. When i buy them they can be touching the floor but when i wash and dry them a couple times they will be above my ankle. What can i do to stop this from happening? I never wash my clothes in warm or hot water and none of my other pants shrink just my khakis.
Answers:
I have the same problem. Try washing them in cold water only, line dry and then put them in the dryer with wet clothes for a while to get the wrinkles out. Hope this works for you. It's kind of a pain, but beats buying new khaki's all the time.
dont put them in the dryer.
Let them air dry.
That is too bad, sorry for your difficulties.
How do you dry the pants? Do you dry them on high-heat, or on the recommended setting? I find that drying clothes on anything other than low heat can sometimes cause the clothes to shrink. You can also choose to hang-dry the pants instead, which should preserve the length.
Are the khakis always the same brand, or do you find this happens with any brand you try? It may be a quality issue.
Probably the brand of khaki pants your buying? The color should have nothing to do with it.
