Help! I accidentally laid a hot iron on a brand new pair of black pants.?
Question:...and it left a slight image of the iron on them. They are rayon/nylon material. Is there any way to remove it or at least make it look less noticable?
Answers:
color it with a permanent black marker. WIll at least take take the sheen off. Not much you can do for scorch marks.
No, sad to say. You have 'deformed' the fibers with the heat from the iron. Rayon/nylon is a synthetic fiber and will change its shape permamently when overheated in such a fashion.
nope you ruined the pants...next time be more careful
try fabric dye.
Unfortunately there is no way to correct this. If it's an expensive item take it to a professional seamstress and maybe she can alter it in some way to hide the defect.
Maybe shorten them into shorts or capris - you cannot remove or fix the iron mark.
