Any tips for organizing houses?
Question:The living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, garage, etc?
Answers:
In the kitchen, put things closest to area of first use.
For example, I have my dishes in the cabinets over the dishwasher, so I don't have to take as many steps when unloading the dishwasher. Lucky for me, this is also close to the kitchen table where I serve meals. Glasses are in a cabinet next to the refrigerator, since most beverages are
served from the refrigerator. My plastic storage containers
are in the lower cabinet between my stove and refrigerator since that is where I process left overs after meals.
Keep like things together when organizing in other areas.
Space can be limiting, and don't be afraid to change things that don't work. Good Luck!
The tip for organizing any room is to keep it simple. Not a lot of clutter or time consuming items that need to be dusted regularly. For example, the bedroom should have your bed, a nightstand, one or two bureau's and a closet that is not so over-filled that the door won't shut. There should be no TV in the room, no computer, nothing else. Even an extra chair or chest is just another place to throw clothes. The livingroom likewise should have a standard livingroom set, end tables with lamps nothing else, a coffee table which can have a decorative item on it, artwork and floor covering. Nothing else is needed. The kitchen has the most items however try to keep it clutter free. Hang wine glasses under cabinets, put only amall appliances that are used often on the counter, sink clear of dishes, an easily accesible dish towel or two (the same with pot holders). No collections that will set and gather dust and grease. I hope that gives you some idea. It works for me, I can get my home thoroughly clean in about an hour and a half.

I've been there done all that; when I was single, later married with 4 kids, & now I'm a BabyBoomer I've finally learned that less is better. You don't have to be a perfectionist & get it all done at once. You can do anything for 15 min at a time. Go to the flylady.net website & try it.
Garage - have stuff stored in bins...and placed towards one side of the wall organized with a label stating the contents in the bins..Bins pertect the stuff better than cardboard boxes since there is alot of weather changes outside and if there is a leak from rainstorms you have higher chances no water has gone into the bins...
Bathroom - keep all appliances and extra shampoo bottles in a small cabinet such as under sink cabinet or a tower cabinet over toilet.
Kitchen - keep your counters organized and your kitchen will look spacios and cleaner...(if counterspace is small -then extra appliances like blender- if not used daily put in a cabinet)
Bedroom - keep a storage bin at the bottom of bed which I put any extras blankets away so the bed doesn't look cluttered...
Living room should be cozy but if it is a small room get rid of one of the extra tables or both and only use a middle table that has cabinets for hiding magazines or extra pillows that you don't want guests to see...Room will look spacious..

Choose a time of day.me I have my time in morning...I take 1 hr. and clean..I do not get door, phone, that's my time to get my chores done. Each day I have left over time...I add a different thing each day.
