if it is on the floor,mop with vinegar,if anywhere else wipe with vinegar and rinse..let dry smell will go as it dries.
Clean again with a diluted solution of bleach and hot water.
Scrub the soiled area thoroughly and spray some Lysol disinfectant over the area. Repeat as necessary.

Try a mixture of baking soda and water or vinegar and water. Neither are harmful to anything but both neutralize odors. I have also used pet stain/odor removers but they take longer to work.
The best thing in the world to remove smells from objects is Phenyl - it comes in the stuff they sell to wash dustbins and garbage bins.
In Australia, it's called Wheelie Cleaner.
Try a small amount in some water (a capful to a gallon or so) and mop it all over again. Great.
