Pen on my pink favorite sweater!?

Question:Last night, I noticed blue ink pen on my pink sweater. I immediately dabbed off the excess (which was a ridciulous amount) and went straight home to use the SHOUT gel with stain lifting brush. I have washed the sweater and SHOUT-ed the sweater 3 times. I now have it sitting under my desk with ice cubes on the stain and SHOUT. Am I doing this right? I HAVE NOT DRIED THE STAIN OR THE SWEATER, so in theory, the stain is not set in. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might do for this stain? This is my favorite pink sweater!

Answers:
What a bummer! I'm not sure if it'll work with a wet sweater. But this usually works with ink stains. Spray the stain with hairspray and then just dab until the ink comes out. You can do this immediately after the "accident" occurs, so keep it in mind if it ever happens again. I hope the stain comes out!

Tooth Paste
try using some dishwasher soap with warm water and a brush and stay away from bleach product might leave unsightly discoloration patches on your sweater

Good Luck '
i hope the stain comes out.
My Consumer Reports book titled, "How to clean practically anything" states:

For most types of ink, blot with rubbing alcohol or a cleaning solvent.

An alternative is using Amodex ink and stain rmover.

I also read somewhere once, that you should always blot, not rub and ink stain. If you rub it, it may spread the stain further.

If you must rub it, remember to rub it INWARD, so as to not spread the stain.

Good luck.
Alcohol. Just rub it in real good with a soft cloth and repeat until it is gone (make sure you are going from outside of shirt and the rubbing from the inside). Professional dry cleaners and carpet/upholstrey cleaners us an alcohol based cleaner to get heavy stains like that out. I have used it to get ink out of clothes, microfiber furniture and off my wall. The joy of it is that is doesn't leave another spot, it just evaporates quickly. You can also use the shout on the inside and out side of the shirt and reapply every other day for a week, then wash as usual. I had a shirt that was litterally covered in non-washable marker. I set that thing to soak in a bowl of shout and forgot about it, a week to ten days later, I remembered it and came back to wash it. There wasn't a spot on it when it came out of the wash.
To remove ink from fabric you need a good hairspary... I'm not sure it will work since you have washed it but hair spray removes it.
hairspray the spot thoroughly (doesn't matter what brand), then hand wash in woolwash detergent (or as you would normally wash your sweater)
aerosol hairspray works great for ink stains. I don't know why but it does. Have plenty of paper towels on hand to dab up the ink when it lifts.
I always used hairspray to remove ink stains. I found the website, that I used. Since the stain hasn't set you might be able to get it out. Good Luck!
