What can i use to clean my oak kitchen table and chairs?

Question:

Answers:
Mineral oil on a soft cloth will get rid of the build up on the kitchen set. Years ago, a furniture maker told me this trick.

Clean the table with soapy water and a sponge first. Dry and then apply the mineral oil. Wipe the excess off with another rag. Repeat until the table and chairs shine.

A cotton tee shirt works great for this job.

Use Old English or Liquid Gold as a polish.

Why not put a table runner or cloth on the table to cover the water marks.

scott's liquid gold :)
I love Murphy's Oil Soap. Mix it with a little water, or use it straight on an old rag...it has magical powers when it comes to wood. I use it on my floors, and furniture. Good luck.
Dilute a little white (synthetic) vinegar in water, and sponge off the sticky stuff. Then buff with a clean cloth.
THEN, use "Liquid Gold". (if you are in the UK, John Lewis's Liquid Gold is good).
I can suggest this. Furniture that has accumulated a layer of grime over the years can be cleaned with a solution of one part each of linseed oil, vinegar and turpentine and a quarter part of methylated spirit. Shake the mixture well each time before using it, and apply with a soft cloth. Or you can try this way Heat marks are removed by rubbing the area with a mixture of 1 part turpentine and 1 part raw linseed oil or camphorated oil. hope this helps you out
