Whats all the white fluff flying around it looks like its snowing?
Question:In the city were I live there is always white fluff coming down heavy. I ruled out cotton wood trees there are none in this area I ruled out dandolions they have not gone to seed yet There are no wollen mills in the area that could be spewing it out so what could it be It gets so bad at times its hard to breathe and forget about the picnic thats out of the question unless you dont mind white fluff in your food. what could it be?

I have seen trees do this other than cottonwood, some of them maple.
Are there any volcanoes near your area? It could be ash. Either or that or someone is burning off trees someplace. Might be ash from their fire.
Some species of spiders can litter the sky with silken plumes whenever the newest generation hatches en masse-they 'baloon' around looking for new homes and their silken 'parachutes' eventually clump up and fall to earth.
But, you might be surprised how far cottonwood fluff can travel in the winds aloft-many, many miles, for sure. Is there any industrial processes nearby that could account for the strange white stuff? maybe cotton or textile mills?

It would help to know where you live. Are you in a swampy area? Seaside? North? South?
There are other plants that put out white fluff. Cattails and milkweed, for instance.
Cottonwood trees
I don't know what you're experiencing but the cottonwood and wormwood in my neighborhood are driving me nuts.
