Answers:
I like to clean all bleach-safe surfaces with bleach/water.
For fragrance, I love candles. The strongest/freshest smelling candle I have found is the Yankee Candle Lemon Lavender. After only a few minutes of burning, the whole house smells great. It is strong enough to cover bad odors from cooking, pets, etc... but very pleasant.
Febreeze is awesome. I spray it all over the carpets and furniture when I leave the house and come home to freshness.
clean floors ,bathrooms kitchenwith bleach and water solution
clean with lemon juice, vinegar, and Ivory.
Bake a few loaves of fresh home cooked bread for the homely effect.
Unless you live in a sewage dump. open the doors and windows and allow the resh air to clean the odors form the house, then clean as directed and enjoy your efforts.
scented candles are your best option but be careful from fire hazards.
After cleaning, best with Lysol or something to kill germs, open all your windows and let the fresh air in. Airing anything out is the best way to make it smell better.Cheapest way too!
Try any/all of the below:
First make sure everything is clean. Take garbage out promptly, clean garbage disposal by putting lemon peels and ice in it, run lemon kool-aid through a cycle in your dishwasher, polish furniture with lemon scented polish (you can even make your own). Sprinkle baking soda on your carpet just before vacuuming. Boil some water and throw some herbs in. Burn scented candles, or get one of those neat scented oil burners that uses tea lights.
I like the scent of eucalyptus the best. You can get the essential oils and mix them with a little water and spray from a spray bottle. Something else you can do is to make dried flower arrangements using dried eucalyptus in them. A house with eucalyptus always smells clean and fresh to me.
after I clean the house I spray a little oust on my a/c filter, it makes the whole house smell good instantly.:)
