Hi i do the cleaning in my house & i was wondering why is dust white?

Question:

Answers:
It isn't white, it's just lighter than the furniture it is laying on and therefore appears white. When you dust with a white rag, it turns it yellowish. Once the dust transfers to something white it doesn't appear white anymore.

Most household dust is actually dead skin. Hence, the color.
It's your dead skin
I dont think its all white,
but since it is made up of almost microscopic particles,it looks white. If you let it pile up for a long time you will see that it will get darker.
Actually it depends on where you live. I live near a big open pasture, and my dust is brown. ..I would know.lol
Because most of it is made of dead skin ...yuk!
