Does anyone know how to get the smell of moth balls out of fabric?

Question:I have a quilt top that was my grandmothers that I was wanting to use but it has been stored away with moth balls and I have washed it with laundry soap and baking soda and it still smells like them.

Answers:
Soak in water overnight with one liter of vinegar.then wash in the morning with warm water and detergent. sun dry if possible.

Try febreze.
Rinse with vinegar and dry in the sun, that will kill that smell..
You can wash it and wash it until you're blue in the face - the only way I've found that will get the odor out is to put the item out in the sun. It may take several days of laying in the sun (obviously bring it in at night).
wash it with plain white vinegar it always removes odor build up of any kind. it will also remove lint and will act as a fabric softner and make your clothes nice and fluffy!!
