I use to clean for the military when families moved out of the housing. I have cleaned alot of stoves. There is no thing as a self cleaning oven! You can use comet but you need to make sure you wipe it all out before you cook. I use (Bar Keepers Friend) Its safe to use because it won't scratch the stove and it doesn't smell harsh like comet. You should also use a straight razor blade. You just have to make shure you don't scratch the oven. Good Luck. Baking soda can also be used in stead of comet.
Start with oven cleaner and elbow grease. Detail clean with a damp Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. If you want to use the self cleaning function, clean up the bulk of it then try it again.
Try some dish liquid and a sponge...=)
with warm water & a tablespoonful of baking powder. Pur the warm water over the stain, just enough so it covers it Now add the baking powder, leave for 5-10 min“s this should lift the stain out. this works too with pot& pans that have been burnt
Heat the oven back up. When it is good and hot turn it off, sprinkle baking soda over the soiled area and let it absorb the spill. It should just flake off.
