Anybody have a good method for cleaning venitian blinds?

Soak them in the bath tub with bleach and detergent or take them out in the drive way and spray them off and scrub with a broom. Hang them somewhere to drip dry.=)
THIS IS THE BEST WAY IVE FOUND FOR CLEANING BLINDS...IF YOU HAVE AGARAGE..PUT TWO LARGE NAILS ON EACH SIDE AS TO HANG THE BLINDS ON..GET YOUR GARDEN HOSE AND WASH THEM DOWN..TAKE A BUCKET OF WATER WITH SOAPY SUDS AND WASH THEM DOWN..THEN HOSE OFF THE SUDS..LET THEM DRY A FEW MINS TURN THEM OVER AND DO THE SAME THING..IF I DONT HAVE A GARAGE WITH HOSE..I DO THIS AT THE CAR WASH..AND ITS FASTER AS IT DOES ALL THE WASHING ANDRINSING..GOOD LUCK..
the bathtub, I soak them in a mixture of bleach and soap, then sponge the bad spots, then rinse ( if you have a hand held shower head this is really easy) or you can rinse them in the tub too
I would say by hanging them outside a washing them down with warm water and a little washing up liquid, then hose them down. I would´t recommend bleach as this will only discolor them,
justjoni The way I found best for me was to hang them on the line use a hose both sides and old soft towels to wipe drips off then air dry ~ I would do windows while they were drying

Get a dryer sheet wet and wipe off your blind. this will also help prevent dust build up.
If they are aluminum blinds, most manufacturers recommend putting them in the bathtub with a non-abrasive mild detergent and taking a sponge to scrub the dirt off. Be very careful to use a soft sponge so that you don't scratch the blinds. After thorougly rinsing them off, you can either let them dry in the bathtub or let them hang-dry. I would not recommend using bleach!
Close them and then wash them with a wash cloth
