Prevent yelow underarm stains on undershirts?
Question:How do you prevent the yellowish stains that develop on your undershirts armpit area after many months (or years)?
It seems like even heavy washing won't remove the deoderant buil-up that eventually begins to develop.
Answers:
I've tried everything, and nothing will really take it out completely. However, try soaking the fabrics with oxyclean for 24 hours in the warmest water the fabric will allow. That's what works best for me.

If your undershirt is a polyester blend, you are pretty much out of luck. If they are 100% cotton you can soak them in bleach to get the stains out. I have also had medium luck spraying with a prewash spray before washing after each wearing. Turn the shirt inside out and spray directly on the deoderant residue. It will not work as well as spraying on the outside of the shirt.
Try changing deodorant. I used to get the stains under the arm and I would have to scrub them out with vinegar and laundry detergent, but I changed deodorant several years ago and have not had any problems since, so I figure it was either the deodorant or my own body oils at that time that were causing the stains.
