How can I get citronella candle wax out of my daughters hair??

Question:

Answers:
Cover the hair in a paper towel or a thin piece of cloth and then apply a flat iron to melt the wax which should be absorbed by the towel.

A similar method works very well to get wax out of a carpet using a regular Iron and paper towells so I would assume this variation should work well on hair.

Be careful of course not to burn the papertowel, though the heat from a flat iron should not be nearly enough to ignite a paper-towell.

I would imagine the hair will be damaged so use a nice shampoo and conditioner to help repair the stressed hair.

Of course you could always take her to a stylist and have them cut her with a new short style.

Go buy some De-Solv-It. It is totally safe to use on clothing, skin, hair, pets hair. It claims to be able to remove wax, that I don't know, but I do know it definitely removes gum. Messy, gooey gum. Believe me, I have had to remove gum of every kind from hair, clothing, my dryer, on things a person would normally just throw away. I swear by the stuff and it is always on my shelf. My husband uses it when he has gotten blackjack all over him and his tools. It works wonders. Trust me. Once you use it, you will always keep it on your shelf.

Here's a site to read about it
Freeze it with a ice cube and break it off the hair.
Use an ice cube to freeze it and then it should just come off.
