How do you get mold out of a shirt?

Question:I accidently left my daughters shirt wrapped in a towel in my trunk. It got moldy. I have washed it twice and it still has it. Any suggestions other than throwing it away?

Answers:
The only thing that will remove mold is bleach. If the t-shirt is white wash in hot water with bleach. If it is colored then you'll probably have to throw it away.

Try dry cleaning it.
Soak it overnight it ammonia. Ammonia kills all mold and grease stains on clothes.
Borax laundry soap takes out mold. I have had good luck with getting out mold with that. I helped a friend clean out her house after a water leak and we got all the clothes clean with the borax. Some things had to be washed twice, but its not harmful at all to the clothes.
Also if its really stubborn..make a paste of the borax then set the item in the sun for about an hour. Then wash normally.
GOODLUCK!
Pour undiluted white distilled vinegar into a spray bottle. Vinegar is great at getting rid of mold/mildew, and it also eliminates the bad odor. Spray the vinegar onto the affected areas. Let it sit for several hours, ideally outside in the sun.
Use warm, sudsy water to wash it, and let it dry in a clean, dry place.
