How to I clean off slug slime?

Question:After spontaneoulsy pulling several off of my pea vines this morning, I had a hard time removing thier slimy residue from hands and clothes. I ended up using a semi-sharp knife to scrape it off. Any suggestions?

Answers:
Washing with a mild liquid dish detergent should get rid of it. The enzymes in detergent break down the proteins that cause the slime to adhere to things.
