Place your salad in the sink, fill the sink with water & add salt. This will kill off any green bug´s . then rinse well
Clean your sink really good. Then put it in there and give it a good washing, that's the way I clean mine.
Rinse it under cool running water then run it through a salad spinner. Give it a final check by laying it on a clean kitchen towel and gently wipe the individual leaves.with an additional clean kitchen towel or damp paper towel.
I rinse it off, then fill the sink with cold water. add some baking soda... and soak it a bit then rinse..
Restaurants soak lettuce in a prep sink. You can use a huge bowl or sink (if absolutely clean) to do the same thing. Bugs, organic debris and dirt will sink to the bottom and you can just swoop with a spaghetti strainer or place the lettuce in a colander or salad spinner to drain.
