How often should you replace your dish rack? Mildew sits in those things, I clean it with Ammonia but...?

Question:perhaps need more tips.

Answers:
What I use to clean my dish rack-windex w/amonia and dawn dish soap. I take a rag to the tray, and clean it, rinse it, then it's good till the next time I need to clean it. Can do the same with the rack.
Or use bleach. A teaspoon of bleach in a spray bottle of cold water will help to disinfect it as well.
Vinegar is a good disinfectant as well.
How often to replace it? However often you need to-once every six months, a year, or longer if cleaning it keeps it going.
Hope this helps. Take care.

i just throw mine out and get a new one about once a year, they dont cost much.
i use bathroom cleaner on mine. it has bleach in it, so it kills any mold/mildew. it also removes the hard water stains. i scrub it with bathroom cleaner once every 2 weeks, and have not replaced mine in almost 10 years!
Maybe I'm weird but I've never had a dish rack grow mold or mildew.
I wash my dishes and set them in the rack to start drying, then I use a towel to finish drying. Put the dishes away, dump the standing water into the sink and wipe the rack down with paper towels. I do wash it with plain dish soap about once a month.
