Good leather products that work will be economical in the long run. If you use a leather protector (not conditioner) and one that works properly it will make cleaning easier the next time and also prolong the life of your leather so proper products are worth it.
Generally speaking your leather will have cost you good money so therefore it is worth protecting your investment and if a leather is looked after properly it will last a long time.
DO NOT use baby wipes as they destroy the finish on your leather which will cause a lot of problems later on.
Saddle soap is too harsh for todays finishes.

How about trying saddle soap, available from equestrian suppliers. However do test it on a hidden area first.
try using some baking soda on a damp rag and wipe clean. dry with dry towel.
my sister use to clean her real leather coats with baby powder...which has baking soda in it.
You should only clean your leather sofa w/ a product designed for cleaning leather. It might cost more, but if u use anything else, you could permanantly ruin the leather!
try murphys soap it will wash it and make it shine
