Anyone know how to get a cushion back into shape after being in the washing machine?

Question:

Answers:
normally you can just wack it a bit and it sorts itself out, but most the time the filling can go funny.

always best to get a cushion with removable and washable covers and do it that way, and always have a bottle of febreeze

Just whack it about a bit.
Need to know what it's made of, feather or synthetic filling. But anyway, steam is real good for recovering fabrics and fillings.
depends on the filling, sometimes you can just shake it and pull it into place, but if not i would give up and say its now ruined. and have to get a new one,
Not very easy on most things, Kitchen chair cushions I have had more luck with I believe they are stuffed with something like pillow stuffing so that they can be whacked back into shape. I have another cushion that oops had foam in it. I actually had to cut a piece to get my hand in and flatten it back out. Then I had to recover it. Defiantly get coverings for your cushions if they are going to need to be washed. Or take them to a dry cleaners. Its about the best bet to not ruining the cushions!
Dampen the cushion up again, throw two or three NEW tennis balls in with them into the dryer. After I wash any pillow, cushion, etc. I do this (keep the tennis balls in a ziplock, just for this chore and they'll stay nice and clean). The balls will keep the cushions, pillows, etc. in shape. When they are done they will look brand new. I've washed my stuff for years this way, and they still look like when I just bought them!
just jump on it,,,they are a bugger arent they why do they go out of shape ,,,i have the same problem and with pillows ,,,,,
