The water keeps running while filling up for the rinse cycle in my washer and will not fill the tub.?

Question:The wash cycle works fine, but when the water is running for the rinse cycle, the tub doesn't fill and the rinse cycle doesn't complete.

Answers:
Most likely the problem lies in your drain hose. It is siphoning the water out of the tub, that is why it doesn't fill. You need to install a breather at the angle of the drain. You can do it yourself or get an appliance guy to do it. The same thing happened to me.

Or it could be a switch gone bad, one of the two.
