I dont like going out in my back garden to hang up my wet clothes on the washing line?
Question:I feel overexposed at a 360 angle, as neighbours lift their noses over the fence to see who it is...
Answers:
A. Dont put out your undies.
B. go straight up to their face and say "Yes, can I help you?"
C. If all else fails, get a water pistol and fire !!
get a tumble dryer...
Get a higher fence!!
who else would it be? Just wave a cheery good day and nice day for a nose over the fence try laylandi
Why? Tell you what then. next time you go out to hang up the washing, get dressed up to the nines in high heels, posh frock and hair piled high. At least give them something to see!!
are you a washinglineophobic? just say "Hi" to them ,then run straight back in.
just smile and say hallo....or wave in a sarcastic manner if they are being plain nosey
Are your neighbours sheep or cows? I had the same thing happen to me when the cows and the sheep in the ajoining field came to the fence and watched me hang the washing out. Very funny.
Given half the chance I think they would have jumped over the fence and have eaten my washing.
GET A HIGHER FENCE
Just say hi to them; put the wash on the line and say bye real loud as you go back in.
Raise the level of your fence !
hehheheheh, no, im not laughing at you, your first few answers were hilarious, easy solution, hang your clothes out naked, then your neighbours will know not to look next time!
I completely understand - even not hanging out your smalls, so they can't see your undies! Maybe add a trellis to the top and grow a fast growing clematis up it so give you a bit of privacy
I think you may have a bit of a agoraphobia problem (fear of open spaces). This can happen to anyone at anytime for no specific reason, maybe a visit to your local doctor may help.
Think your bein abit paranoid. Umm get a tumble dryer or put your washing on a heater.
take no notice, theyve nothing betta to do i wouldnt let it stop you though if you got a dryer they are expensive to run .just go out there and say hi in a sarcy manner they will stop doing it if you stand your ground.
Yes it´s not very nice when the neighbours are always looking to see what you are doing. But take like a pinch of salt, You could try hang them out a bit earlier, for example if you put your machine on at night before going to bed , your washing will be ready to hang out first thing in the morning, So if the neighbours have little or nothing to do all day , they can sit and watch it dry. Then you bring it in last thing at night. this might help.
maybe it's a good thing there peeking there noses
called neighborhood watch.
they might just be checkin to see if there are any strangers lurking around just poke your head up and say "just me doing laundry have a nice day" some one once told me kill them with kindeness and be on your way. i wpold love too hang clothes out on the line and get that fresh spell .
are they a younger crowd cause then they don't know anything about clothes hanging on the line.another suggestion hand your sheets on the side of the fence then your delicates so they can't see em.
Take a large sheet that you can dispose of . Write IN LARGE LETTERS "Bet you wish you could hang out too!"
or. . . "wanna hang out with me?"
same here i hate it i dont even like to sit in my garden cause of it.... go out in to ur garden when they putting there washing out and do it to them
I hang my washing out at night (check the weather first) my neighbours all think I get up really early and do it, I fetch it in the next night and hang out more, though the reason I do this is because i'm to lazy to get up in the morning
I, too find it difficult to hang my cloths out side, it is difficult with yards of saris, I use an in door airier, near radiators.but have to use the program in washing machine to make the washing dry, otherwise the cloths do not smell fresh. it works out in winter when central heating is on, In summer I have to go out to do it on week days when every one is at work, schools.
I'd smile and say hi to the person that looks at you. Then ask then if they like beeing looked at every time they come out into there back yard.
