How can i get the ciggeratte smell out of the couch??
Question:I just bought a couch from someone who smokes and I dont so the smell is bugging me... I have such a headach from smelling it.. Whats the best way to get the smell out...Please help??

rent a steam machine and put some stuff that is made for smoking in there i forget what its called but you can rent them from the grocery store, if you have one you can get it from target in teh cleaning aisle. if you dont feel like all that just keep febreezing it relly wet it down and open the window it will eventually go away,

i would try first to hit it so the dust inside comes out and maybe some of the smell . have windows open and fans on too. that and after febreeze it every little bit.
Omg! I hate the smell of cigarette smoke! Maybe if you spray Febreeze all over it, it might go away.

You can spray it down with Febreeze if you don't want to rent a machine and clean it. I've found that the smell will eventually disappear over time.

Trust me...If not throw it out and buy new ones! You can go to a 'hole in the wall' furniture store, or even one at your local shopping center while a sale is going on..and some discount places sell couches (Marshalls, etc) for $150-$400
Time and a bunch of fabreeze. Or, an upholstery shampooer will do the trick. There will always be a int of smoke in it, but it shouldn't give you a headache anymore.
There is unfortunately no way to get rid of the smell, and febreeze will just mix with the smell and is only temporary

well what i do is take it to the car wash and wash it just like you would your own car.i know it sounds so stupid but hey it works.
Febreeze is great but first you need to rent a steamcleaner. The smell is deep in the sofa and febreeze can't get that deep without using more bottles than the cost of the steamcleaner!
USE LYSOL PRETTY MUCH SOAK IT THEN LET IT DRY OUT SIDE IN THE FRESH AIR THEN FERBREEZE IT

get some Febreeze and spray the couch really good. repeat the next day if necessary.
you can spray febreeze on it 3 times throughly a day for 2 weeks and the smell should go out.If the smell still doesn't go away just buy another couch.
