How can I clean my microsuede couch?
Question:

I just read another post here regarding the same thing and everyone said to use water ...
no.
I used water and I've ruined my sofa.
I did a search online and found some information I need to share with you...
Mircrofiber (micro suede) may actually stain from water. Check your sofa and see if there is a tag that has a W, S, or S W ... (no we aren't going on a trip west, south, southwest ... )
* W means you can use water based cleaning solution.
* S means you have to use a "solvent" based cleaner
* S-W means you can use S or W type cleaners
You can't just use soap and water for microfiber (again, I made that mistake myself)
If you spill water on the couch just dab it with a cloth, don't rub. (the sofa will repel it so as to keep from staining).
If you have a stain that you need to remove you could try a solvent based cleaner such a rubbing alcohol. Just use enough alcohol to damp the fabric, let it dry, and repeat until stain is removed.
The fabric may harden after cleaning (as did mine) just use a clean toothbrush, rub in circular motions until fabric becomes soft again.
I hope this helps.
Try Woolite foam cleaner for carpet and upholstery.test it on a small area first to make sure it's not going to damage your couch
I just use a damp washcloth on mine and wipe it down its got scotchgaurd so it cleans easy
