How do I get transmission fluid off of clothes?

Question:My ex poured transmission fluid in my laundry... any chance of getting the fluid off?

I've tried boiling water, Coca-Cola, OxyClean, Shout, vinegar, Lysol, carpet cleaners, and Windex -none of them seem to work. Anyone else have any ideas or success removing tran fluid stains? (without destroying the clothing in the process...)

Answers:
Hopefully you haven't put the stuff in the dryer, if you have, you need to go shopping for new clothes. Dryer heat will permanently set stains.

Three things to try- dish soap. Use full strength and scrub the stains. Let set overnight, then wash in hot water. Or, you could try baby powder (corn starch will work too) Just put plenty of it on the stains, and allow to set overnight. Or, you could get some GoJo from the auto parts store, and use that on the stains.

I guess as a last resort, you could get a few packages of Rit Red Dye, and color all the clothes lol.

Dawn Dish Soap works wonders. Although you will need to scrub a little... Good luck
