I put the clothes in the dryer on the air dry setting, let it go for about 10 minutes and then take the clothes out, hang them up and let them air dry from there.
This just gets the excess moisture off of the fabric and keeps them from feeling super stiff from the air drying. I hang my clothes on a hanger in the laundry room, with the idea that the heat generated from the dryer will help dry them that much faster.
When I need them to dry super fast, I'll hang them in my garage- this really only works on hot summer days. They dry in about an hour and I've never had anything shrink.
Don't hang them outside- over time they will fade, the wind may blow them off whatever you're hanging them on and you run the risk of having a bird poop on them.
I've never let the clothes go for the whole cycle, but I would assume that since it's on the air setting they won't shrink. I don't think that the clothes will dry either, so don't do this if you're in a hurry to wear them!
I would follow the directions on the tag. if u do put it in the dry cause its prob a heavy sweater only put it in there for a few min's then hang it to dry in the house I like to use my shower less to clean up. Best of luck
I have had good luck with drying items in the drier on the no heat setting. Indoor or outdoor hang dry is fine, just be careful not to dry it in the sun because the heat could shrink it.
I agree with Blahdeblah but with the added suggestion of putting fabric softener in the wash. This way when you air dry your clothes they won't be stiff and scratchy.
Wash cold water, delicate cycle. Hang to dry. Don't put it in the dryer.
