I had a company come out to do mine and the guy told me never to put chemicals in the carpet or the stain will set. He said if you use a 50/50 mix of distilled vinegar and water you have a better chance of getting out stains. I tried this when we got our new puppy and it seemed to work but the best thing I have ever done is put 1/2 a cup of oxi-clean in my carpet cleaner along with the solution and very hot water. it works like a charm. It even took out old stains that the pro's didn't get out. I have cream carpets also so I feel your pain. Thy are so nice but a pain in the you know what to keep clean. Good luck!

I have a very tiny convertible so I call in the pros, but the rug doctor is a great alternative and much less. Click on the testimonials on their web site.
what ever you do do not use a shampooer especially if there is still dirt in the fibers that will make a bigger mess, you need to use a good sweeper hose that has one of those bristle brushes that will allow you to brush the carpet and flick the dirt out of the fibers of the carpet and suck it up at the same time
Don't rent a rug doctor. Those things are returned to the stores, filthy and gross. Your best bet is just to hire someone. They don't have to do the whole carpet, and it will get done right, without making a bigger mess.
if there is plant food in the soil the stain is there for good. Otherwise it should be fairly easy to get out.
Lick it up with ur tounge. You like doing stuff like that. Yum yum.
Just a suggestion! Go to Smart N' Final and purchase their dry foam carpet shampoo and mix some in a bucket per instructions and use a scrub brush to clean area. Let dry and vacuum. Also, there are home carpet shampoo machines available for purchase almost everywhere and some are very good. I clean my carpets every three months with one, not because I have a dirty house but carpet should not be let go with no maintenance.
You can hire a professional or you can rent but with cream colored carpet, you should invest in a steam cleaner for just this sort of problem as well as high traffic areas. I have always had light carpet and couldn't live without my steam cleaner. For a couple of hundred dollars, you will save money over time.
