How do I remove the smell of cat pee from a leather sofa?

Question:I keep washing with wet cloth but after a couple days the smell comes back...

Help!

Answers:
Mix some vinegar and water together, spray and wipe ,repeat until the smell is gone. The vinegar neutralizes the odor. I would mix it half and half.Good Luck! =)

Spray it with Febreze, it works wonders! It totally took the smell out of my bed when my wolf peed in my bed!

our cat peed on a leather chair and i couldn't get rid of the smell. i ended up taking it to an upholstery shop where they had to remove the leather and clean it, then replace the stuffing. if the pee soaked through to the stuffing, you won't get rid of the smell.
there are products you can buy that claim to eliminate the odor, but it won't do squat if it soaked clear through.
by the way, the cleaning cost $400. i'm sorry this happened to you, too. wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Try leaving leaving dry bicarbonate of soda overnite - then washing off - it worked for me on a carpet
Leather does not naturally harbour smells and you will probably find that the insides are the culprit. They will need to be cleaned or replaced.
Then clean the leather with a good foam leather cleaner and protect with leather protector and it will be ok.
