Very Unorganized...?
Question:I am a serious pack rat! I'm trying to find a better way to organize my things. Please help!

I used to be the same way and the best thing I have heard of to help is to make 3 different piles or boxes:
1) Keep
2) Trash
3) Donate
I too am a serious pack-rat, I have recently been going through all of my things and separating it all into the stuff i have to keep, the stuff that is donate able and stuff i plan to yard sale or EBay.
Plastic stackable containers work about the best for all of your stuff!
You have two really good answers, to which I will add this: if its been packed in a box and you haven't used it or needed it in 6 months, toss it.
It took me months to clean out my mom's house as she was the packrat queen. In a room that was smaller than 8 x 10 I removed 42 EMPTY boxes, and that was just the beginning.
So I can sympathize with you. It isn't easy, but once you can get it under control, its a lot easier to keep it that way.
