A bit of washing up liquid (cuts through grease better than all other washing up liquids!) on a clean sponge will break up the grease molecules fairly rapidly.
Just remember to rinse it through thouroughly with warm water immediately afterwards.
Use a good washing up liquid. Put some on the grease spot, rub it in really well, leave it for about 30 minutes then wash as normal. That works for me.

When you wash the clothes, do what you normally do detergent wise, then add a can of Coca-Cola.That will remove them.
The paper bag and iron is good suggestion, a little bit of lighter fluid works well too, but I've yet to find something that works 100% all of the time
My husband used to get the grease they wear on the face for sports all over his white jersey. I used to rub it with Lestoil, wash and rub again if it didn't come out the 1st time. They other guys on the team could never figure out why his uniform always looked new. Just don't dry the item until it is clean.
Add more soap.
have you tried Vanish??
