How to control baby powder "dust".?
Question:I use baby powder after my shower and am careful to put it on without making a mess but the "dust" still gets all over the bath & bedroom, even with the exhaust fan on. Can I eliminate/minimize the mess by using an air filter ? Any suggestions besides no longer using powder?
Answers:
Dry yourself in the shower then apply the baby powder..close the shower door or curtain. The dust can then be washed away with the shower head.
Do you have a big powder puff or make up brush (large powder brush) you can dab into a container of powder? I use powder sometimes and using it this way brushes it on rather than the usual container that puts air back into it and creates the dust. Also forgot, breathing in the dust is bad for your lungs - they warn not to use it on baby's (instead use rash cream) so I wouldn't want to have too much floating around you.
Except for a little fragrance baby power is harmless talcum powder so it is not going to hurt anything, just make a mess. You might try a dusting puff, put powder on the puff then on you.
you could use liquid baby powder by Huggies.
I use it for my baby's bum. I was worried that my son was breathing it in so the Huggies liquid powder worked well for us.
