Put some white vinegar in a bowl of warm water, some lemon juice too and microwave for couple of minutes, works for me.
The best way to deodorise a microwave is to place a sliced lemon in a bowl with some water and set the microwave on full power for about 3-5 minutes. The smell afterwards is lovely and refreshing. As for the rest of the house, an air freshener I suppose.

place a microwaveable bowl with water an lemon an put on bout 2 minutes (depends on ur microwave) then wipe it down an it will smell like lemons an it comes clean!! (wipe with clean sponge) then discard the bacteria in microwave expands ! do it twice if microwave is really dirty! but if not jus do water an lemon twice. it will be fresh an clean!!
chop a onion and leave in the room, it should take smell away! it works with paint smell so give it ago!
Sell the house with microwave and buy another one.
