How do i get the smell of cigarette smoke out of my clothes and hair?
Question:I just want an easy homemade way to get the gross smell of smoke out of my clothes and hair. my mom smokes and iam sick of people telling me that i smell like smoke.please help me!

Keep a small travel size bottle of fabreze so you can spritz down when you are not with her. Use the cold air setting on your blowdryer and blow it on your hair for a minute. I hair stylist told me to do that if I was in a bar and didn't have time to wash my hair. It releases trapped smoke from you hair.

As long as your mom smokes it's going to be difficult. You should probably suggest to your mom that she not smoke indoors. You could get cancer from second hand smoke. I'm sure that should concern your mom. Other than that, keep your windows open and spray the house with Febreeze.
Put fabric softner sheets in your dresser drawers, but best thing to get rid of the smell is ask her to stop smoking in the house.
open all the windows and doors and let a lot of fresh air in. play out side a lot and and use a lot of detergent in you clothes when you wash them. spray febreeze around ur house and put dryer sheets in your drawers.

For your clothes I would put half a cup of backing soda in every load of laundry and can take dryer sheets and put them in your drawers when you put your clothes. You can buy a good smelling leave in conditioner for your hair and when you leave the house spray your hair. If at all possible leave your bedroom window open when you know its not going to rain and that will help air out your bedroom.
Sorry to hear it, cigs STINK! I imagine that since there is smoking going on in the house your towels and EVERYTHING smell. I hope your room stays closed up because I couldn't bear to hear that you have to sleep in stink too.
My only suggestion is to have a talk with your mom about the affects it is having on you.
Otherwise Febreeze works wonders, maybe get a fresh smelling body spray to spray your hair with when you leave the house.
