Try using very hot water and Dawn dish soap. The hot water should help in dissovling the wax from the wall.
Try using WD40. If the paint is flat then it's going to be harder to get off than if it's semi gloss. Test a small area first.
When there is a wax stain you iron it away. So for the wall I would get the iron warm, Tape paper towel over the stain, and then use the warm iron to remove it, Take the paper towel away, and put a clean one and do it again. It will work, What your doing is melting the wax and the paper towel will absorb it,
