If you have a garment which is both dark fabric and light fabric do you put it with darks or lights?
Question:Say a top that has navy blue fabric for body but white fabric for arms?
Answers:
Definitely wash it on its own the first couple times, and wash it in cold water. Colors are less likely to bleed into each other. Once it has been washed & dried a couple times (if the material says it is ok), it should be fine to stick with other blues (if all those clothes have been washed a couple times or more). Also, when you wash it with the blues use cold water, just in case. If you don't want to take the chance - just wash it by itself & hand washing saves water & electricity, so I'd go that route.
wash it on its own or hand wash it kidda.
I would wash it by hand first
hand wash separateely in cold water the first few times until you are sure the color has set then wash with the darks
Wow! That one has got me scratching my head!
I would put it in with the darks; however it would be washed in COLD water
with the colors
Wash this garment by itself. Also, make sure that you follow the washing instructions so that the dark color doesn't bleed over on the light one.
It would be washed with the light load because you dont want the white to change colors. If you wash it on cold, the colors wont run into the white.
I would hand wash and not take any chances
The safest thing to do is wash it either alone in a small load, or with other items that are similar mixed fabrics - like black & white. Washing with darks might make the white part dingy. Your mom would be so proud to know you're separating your laundry:)
Would wash it by hand for the first couple of times, also add some table salt to the first wash, as this binds in the colour so it doesn't leak. Trust me, it works!
I'd be careful. I have a top, its got black, white and grey. I've had it for ages, but only recently has colour run from another dark item and now the white parts are light grey!
Once you are sure the colours don't run, wash it with the light stuff. If you want to keep the light parts light!
i would wash it Cold!
Either one is fine. Just wash in cold water
i have clothes like that and normally just throw them in the wash on 30 and let it be and they have always been fine, clothes are not as bleedy as they used to be otherwise they would keep the colours seperate
