I just flipped over a pizza that I was cooking inside of the oven and cheese went everywhere! How can I clean?
Question:I just flipped over a pizza that I was cooking inside of the oven and cheese went everywhere! Whats the best way to clean it? I don't have any oven cleaner.
Answers:
Turn off the oven. Burnt cheese is worse to contend with. Cleaning soft melted cheese only is easy.
Take away the metal racks, get damp cloth and scour off anything that comes off on both rack and oven walls. If you have a whole roll of paper towels, use that so you dont have to wash the cloth and deal with a gunky sink.
Wipe and wipe. Use more water to wet the surface or cleaning solution. If it is stuck, use the dish scourer. Scrub scrub. Do not use metal scourer, just the plastic ones.
With a damp sponge let the oven cool ofcourse then remove it. If it "sticks" use a butterknife to lighty scrape it or a pot scrubber
let it cool down first. then take a plastic spatula to scrap it all off and maybe with a rag and some mild soap. i wouldnt use harsh chemicals cause thats were you cook food. if theres a little left thats probably ok as long as it doesnt get smokey from food in the oven.
Oh boy! Sorry about your pizza.
Let the oven get cold then peel stuff off. You can wash it with whatever you have handy after that. Don't try to clean it while the oven is still warm. It'll make a worse mess.
