My jeans has odd smell, even after washing it does not go away, can anyone tell me cause & solution?
Question:Smell irritates me
Answers:
Put the jeans in a hot boiling water over-night. Add antiseptic liquid such as Dettol before soaking the jeans in water. Also put good quantity of detergent in the water. Do this twice a week for two weeks. Dry the jeans in open terrace with in-side out. If it doesnt work, give it for dry-clean / petrol wash in laundry.
You can try soaking them in a baking soda and water.
i think you should throw them off they must have gone too old
Wash them in baking soda water, then let them air dry in the sunshine.
If they were stored in an area where there was alot of mold and musty smelling materials laying about, and you cant get the smell out, you may want to have them professionally cleaned and point out the problem when you take them in. Also, don't know if your familiar with the detergent called GAIN but it has a very good smell to it, and if you try washing your jeans ONLY, with a good amount of this, that should do the trick also, especially if you dry them in the clothes dryer with a BOUNCE dryer sheet! Hopefully this will do the trick!
Please let us know what worked in case we ever have the same problem, okay?
Try washing yr jeans with laundry powder & fabric softner , and allow yr jeans to dry in direct sunlight. Im sure this will help try it out .
I would use backing soda and very hot water. I have cleaned smoke damaged clothes before this way and it took the smell of smoke out. I know it will work for you. Backing soda is a smell neutralizer.
